FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 11, 2026) – Sen. Robby Mills has been recognized for his advocacy on behalf of Kentucky law enforcement.
The Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police presented Mills with its Outstanding Legislative Service Award during the 2026 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly. Mills received the award during a KACP event held in Lexington.
The Outstanding Legislative Service Award recognizes Mills’ work during the 2026 legislative session to support Kentucky’s law enforcement community and advance policies that help officers and agencies carry out their mission of protecting communities across the Commonwealth, according to a news release.
“I am honored to receive the Outstanding Legislative Service Award from the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police,” Mills said. “Our law enforcement officers put themselves on the line every day to protect our families, neighborhoods and communities, and they deserve to know that we have their backs in Frankfort.
Mills continued, “Throughout my time in the legislature, I have been proud to listen to the men and women on the front lines and advocate for policies that support the important work they do. Strong law enforcement is essential to keeping our communities safe, and I remain committed to ensuring our officers have the resources, support and tools they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.”
Shawn Butler, Executive Director of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police, praised Mills’ advocacy during the 2026 legislative session.

Robby Mills has been a steadfast partner to Kentucky’s law enforcement community,” Butler said. “His willingness to listen, engage and take action on issues that matter to our officers made him a clear choice for this recognition. We are grateful for his leadership and continued support of public safety across the Commonwealth.”
Throughout his service in the Kentucky General Assembly, Mills has worked alongside law enforcement officials and public safety professionals to advance policies aimed at supporting officers, strengthening public safety and ensuring Kentucky remains a safe place to live, work and raise a family.
