Motorists traveling on KY 1257 in Union County today and Thursday need to a aware a section of the road is closed.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials indicate KY 1257 is closed today between Johns Road/Mount Olive Road and the intersection with KY 109 in order to allow the replacement of a deep cross drain that has been settling.
The road closed at this site around 8:00 this morning and is expected to reopen Thursday afternoon around 3:00.
State transportation officials say there will not be a marked detour, and local access will be maintained for property owners on each side of the closure point.
