HPD: Henderson Woman Charged for Possessing Meth, Marijuana

Authorities say a traffic stop overnight netted the arrest of a Henderson woman for possessing drugs and other offenses.

According to Henderson Police, 50 year old Wilma J. Crawford was pulled over around 12:45 a.m. Friday after she disregarded a stop sign on Burdette Street. They say she was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

After searching the woman, police say they found two glass pipes on her believed to be used for controlled substances. They also reportedly found a small amount of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana in the vehicle.

Crawford was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana, and other lesser charges.

Authorities indicate all of the substances have been sent to the Kentucky State Police Lab for substance identification.
