Four reported injured in three separate wrecks in Union County on Wednesday

Emergency personnel were busy working traffic accidents in Union County on Wednesday.

Morganfield Rescue Squad Chief Rick Wyatt tells WMSK News the rescue squad, Whispering Meadows Volunteer Fire Department and EMS responded to a truck wreck on KY 2091/Herigas lane around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday where a male had hit a culvert.

Chief Wyatt says the male was taken by family members to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

According to Wyatt, Morganfield Police Department and Union County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Chief Wyatt reports a second accident involving three vehicles occurred around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in Waverly.

Upon arrival, he reports the rescue squad and Waverly Volunteer Fire Department found a baby and its mother injured. They were reportedly treated on the scene by first responders and 2 EMS units and then transported to Evansville hospitals in serious condition.

According to Chief Wyatt, a third wreck occurred around midnight Wednesday at Roysters Curve in Waverly.

He says the Morganfield Rescue Squad, Waverly Volunteer Fire Dept. And EMS responded and found where a female had flipped her van and was trapped inside. Chief Wyatt reports rescue workers used the Jaws of Life to free the female.

He says the female was treated on scene by EMS and first responders and then transported to Evansville hospital in serious condition.

Wyatt says the Union County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police assisted at both wrecks.

At this time, local law enforcement agencies have not released the details regarding the wrecks.
