Single Vehicle Injury Accident on KY 91

NEWS RELEASE

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 91, approximately six miles south of Princeton, on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jeremy Haddock , was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm southbound on KY, approximately six miles south of Princeton, during moderate rainfall. The vehicle was also occupied by Holly Haddock, who was occupying the front seat at the time of the collision.

Mr. Haddock stated that as his vehicle entered a right curve he lost control of the vehicle, crossing into the northbound lane of travel. Mr. Haddock’s vehicle then began to skid sideways, and his vehicle exited the northbound shoulder of the roadway. The left side of the vehicle then struck an earthen embankment, and the impact of the collision then caused Mr. Haddock’s vehicle to overturn onto its top. Mr. Haddock’s vehicle came to final rest on its top in a ditch next to the northbound shoulder of travel facing north.

Mr. Haddock was treated at the scene by Caldwell County EMS for injuries sustained as a result of the collision, and transported by ambulance to Caldwell County Medical Center. Mr. Haddock was wearing a seatbelt. Mrs. Haddock, who was also wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.

Mr. Haddock was cited for Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License, and Failure to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense. Both Jeremy Haddock and Holly Haddock were also subsequently arrested for active warrants for Probation Violations.

Trooper Ben Sawyer investigated the collision. Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, Caldwell County EMS, and the Princeton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
