Woman arrested in connection to residential burglary in Daviess Co.

A 33 year old woman has been arrested in connection to a residential burglary in Daviess County.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s office, deputies have been searching for Sheena Speed in connection to her alleged involvement in a burglary in the 53-hundred block of Lower River Road. Authorities arrested and charged 37 year old Larry Husk Jr. in connection to the residential burglary on August 19, 2016.

Authorities indicate the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on the William H. Natcher Parkway over the weekend and made contact with Sheena Speed. The 33 year old woman was then arrested and transferred into the custody of the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

Speed was booked into the Daviess County Detention Center and charged with first degree burglary.

The charges stem from a residential burglary on Lower River Road on August 19 where the homeowner stated his house was broken into and several items were stolen from his property as well as his home. Some of the items reported stolen included a fishing boat and trailer, a moped, and several firearms.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
