A large crowd was at the local courthouse and sang Amazing Grace to kick off the Union County Backs the Blue event to show our support for local law enforcement during these difficult times across our nation.
Local church leaders gathered around the officers and prayed over them. Brother Jerry Manning also read a Bible passage.
And Uniontown Police Chief Jeffery Hart read a post on Facebook posted by Baton Rouge Police Officer Montrell Jackson after five officers in Dallas were gunned down, just days before he himself was assassinated.
WMSK would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to the courthouse to back our men in blue, and most of all WMSK would like to thank our law enforcement officers for your service and sacrifice, and for protecting our communities.
