Union County Farm Bureau was recognized with top honors for its region of the state in the 2015 Safety Challenge Awards competition during Kentucky Farm Bureau’s annual meeting in Louisville.
A news release says the award was given to Union County Farm Bureau for producing a safety/health event for fifth-grade students in the area, which included fourteen stations for students that covered a wide variety of safety topics such as fire, water, ATV and toxic materials.
Kentucky Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization with more than 468-thousand member families across the Commonwealth. Officials say approximately 15-hundred members attended the KFB’s 96th annual meeting in Louisville this week to recognize this year’s individual and organizational achievements and adopt policy for 2016.
