3 Webster County residents charged in connection to armed robberies in Corydon and Madisonville

Three Webster County residents have been charged in connection to armed robberies at convenience stores in Corydon and Madisonville.

As WMSK News reported at Noon, the Henderson Police Department was questioning three suspects that matched a description of the individuals who committed an armed robbery in Madisonville Thursday night. After the interview, 40 year old Patrick Conley, 21 year old JT Higgins and 19 year old Jayme Driesbach, all of Sebree, were arrested.

The three are facing charges in connection to an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday night at the Kangaroo Gas Station on Main Street in Corydon as well as an armed robbery that occurred Thursday night at the Circle K Market on North Main Street in Madisonville. In both instances, police say a white male walked into the stores armed with a shotgun and demanded money, and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to Henderson Police, about 1 ½ hours after the armed robbery in Madisonville Thursday night, an officer spotted the truck that matched the description given by one of the clerks and made a felony stop on the vehicle. As officers approached the vehicle, they reportedly observed a shot gun on the back seat of the truck, and then recovered two loaded shotguns along with money stolen from the Circle K robbery in Madisonville.

Conley was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Higgins and Driesbach were each charged with Complicity to Robbery 1st Degree.

All three subjects were lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.

ORIGINAL STORY REGARDING ARMED ROBBERY IN MADISONVILLE

Authorities in Madisonville are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday night at a convenience store.

The Madisonville Police Department reports to WMSK News that officers responded to the armed robbery complaint that occurred around 11:10 at the Circle K. Market on North Main Street where a clerk informed them two white males entered the store and one male armed with a shotgun demanded money.

According to the report, the men fled the scene in a dark colored Chevrolet 1500 Z71 extended cab with pink accent trim, and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk told police the suspects were both white males wearing orange hooded sweat shirts, dark pants and tennis shoes and a white female was seen in the passenger seat of the pickup truck.

Around 2:00 Friday morning, Madisonville Police say officers of the Henderson Police Department stopped a vehicle occupied by the suspects that matched the clerk’s description, and were being held for questioning.
