Transportation Cabinet issues emergency order for agriculture product delivery

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 23, 2016) – Due to delivery and distribution problems caused by Friday’s winter storm, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has issued an emergency order providing relief to agriculture dealers hauling live poultry and feed.

The order, issued Saturday by Acting Secretary Mike Hancock, temporarily relieves commercial motor vehicle operators from restrictions on hours of service while they transport live poultry and feed. All other safety requirements shall remain in force.

The order expires on Jan. 31, 2016.
