KYTC NEWS RELEASE
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to activate a new traffic signal along KY 603/The Pleasant Valley Road Connector at the intersection with Pleasant Valley Road in OWENSBORO on Monday, September 19, 2016.
A KYTC traffic crew tested the new signal this morning, placing it in temporary operation. The signal was placed into flashing mode at about 11:00 a.m., today. It will remain in flashing mode for about one week before it becomes fully activated.
This signal a the KY 603 intersection with Pleasant Valley Road will flash yellow for KY 603/The Pleasant Valley Road Connector and flash red for Pleasant Valley Road. This traffic signal is at KY 603 mile point 0.376 just north of the US 60 Exit 18 Interchange near the Owensboro Hospital.
This new signal is expected to go into regular green-yellow-red operation at approximately 9:00 a.m., on Monday, September 19th.
Motorists should take note of the new signal while it is in flashing mode and be alert for changes in traffic flow this new signal may create once it goes into full operation.
