Todd County man charged with possessing meth

NEWS RELEASE

Elkton, KY (Todd County) – On January 1, 2016, Trooper Jonathan Johnson initiated a traffic stop for no tail lamps, on Pond River Road, north of Elkton. After making contact with the operator, Ronald O. Case, Trooper Johnson suspected he was impaired. A series of field sobriety tests resulted in Trooper Johnson placing Mr. Case under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.

During the investigation, Trooper Johnson found Mr. Case to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and items used to ingest controlled substances. Mr. Case was lodged at the Todd County Detention Center on the following charges:
1) No tail lamps
2) Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense
3) Possession of Marijuana
4) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
5) Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamines)
6) No registration plate
7) No registration receipt
8) Fail to register/transfer motor vehicle
9) No insurance
10) No seat belt
11) Failure to notify DOT of address change
