LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A 16-year-old boy has been accused of stabbing his mother with a knife in Lexington.
Local media outlets report Lexington police say the incident happened Sunday night.
Officers responding to a domestic violence call at a home found a woman with stab wounds to her neck. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victim’s 16-year-old son also went to the hospital for some minor injuries before being taken into custody.
The teenager now faces an assault charge.
Authorities have not identified the mother or her son. They also have not released any details about what led to the stabbing.
