An Illinois man was charged with DUI last night after a single-vehicle wreck in Union County.
Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Heady tells WMSK News deputies and emergency personnel responded to the accident where 28 year old Seth Adams, of Harrisburg, IL, was driving on 141 north and ran off the roadway and caused his vehicle to flip over on its side. While interviewing Adams, Deputy Heady says he detected the smell of alcohol and conducted a field sobriety test. Adams was placed under arrest and charged for operating a motor vehicle under the influence – aggravating circumstances.
Morganfield Rescue Squad Chief Rick Wyatt tells me Adams was treated at the scene by Union County EMS.
Adams was lodged in the Union County Detention Center.
The Union County Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
