Single Vehicle Injury Collision on KY 81 in Muhlenberg County

KSP POST 2 NEWS RELEASE

Bremen, KY (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on KY 81 (Main Street) in Bremen, on Wednesday, January 6, at 1:03 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Cassaundra Pointer, 41, South Carrollton, KY, was operating a 2005 Toyota Celica southbound on KY 81 when the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle struck a concrete driveway and overturned. It came to rest upright, partially in the roadway.

Ms. Pointer was not injured. Her son, Christian Pointer, 11, was transported via ambulance to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Trooper First Class Craig Engler is investigating the collision. The Bremen Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
