Owensboro man charged for attempted burglary, 2nd DUI

A disturbance call landed an Owensboro man behind bars over the weekend for attempted burglary and his second DUI.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 68-hundred block of Leslie Lane involving a suspect, later identified as 56 year old Kimble Gabbard, attempting to gain entry into a residence. The caller advised deputies that the suspect fled the area as authorities were arriving on the scene. Deputies reportedly saw Gabbard leaving the area in a passenger car and tried to initiate a traffic stop; however, authorities say the Owensboro man fled the area and drove to his residence where he was stopped and taken into custody.

Gabbard was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center for first degree fleeing and evading police, his second DUI aggravated, operating on a DUI suspended license and attempted burglary.
