Owensboro man arrested on multiple charges of burglary and thefts

An Owensboro man is facing multiple burglary and theft charges that reportedly occurred on Millers Mill Road in the early morning hours of Friday, July 22, 2016.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports 24 year old Jacob Wilkerson was arrested around 12:05 a.m. Thursday for attempting to break into several homes and vehicles. They say he was successful in breaking into a truck and taking a wallet and a bank card from the wallet that was used at two (2) different gas stations in Owensboro. In addition, authorities say Wilkerson entered a detached garage where multiple items were reported stolen.

The sheriff’s office says Wilkerson was captured on video camera surveillance systems from the residences, as well as the gas station where he fraudulently used the bank card.
