Motorists traveling US 60 in western Livingston County need to be aware of a lane restriction.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say motorists should be alert for a moving work zone along US 60 from the New US 60 Tennessee River “Ledbetter” Bridge extending eastward to the US 60 Cumberland River Bridge at Smithland as the Livingston County Maintenance Crew plans to mill off bumps that have formed on sub-surface joints along this section. Officials indicate the rolling work zone will start at Ledbetter and work toward Smithland throughout the week, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers and maintenance personnel are along the roadway close to traffic.
Officials say the work is expected to take about a week to complete.
