Officials recapture 1 of 3 escaped inmates in Bell County

PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Authorities have recaptured one of three inmates who escaped from the Bell County Detention Center.

Jailer Gary Ferguson tells local news outlets that officials recaptured 28-year-old Bobby Holman Tuesday night after he and two others escaped that morning.

Pineville Police Chief Bill says the three men walked out of the facility through a door that was propped open to cool down the jail. Matthews said the jail has had heating and air conditioning problems, so the staff opened a door and put an industrial fan to cool the jail.

Officials are still searching for 20-year-old Raymond Farr and 27-year-old Gary Mills. Anyone with addition information is asked to contact authorities.
