KSP Works 4-Vehicle Injury Collision in Graves County

NEWS RELEASE

Hickory, Ky. (July 26, 2016) On July 26, 2016, at 08:37 a.m., Kentucky State Police post 1 Mayfield responded to a report of a 4 vehicle collision at KY408 and US HWY 45 N in Hickory, KY.

Preliminary investigation shows that Michelle L. Duvall, 37, of Murray, KY was operating a yellow 2016 Jeep Renegade.  Duvall was stopped at a traffic light north bound on US HWY 45N in the left lane.  Richard A. Jones, 62, of Mayfield, KY was operating a White 1996 Jeep Cherokee.  Jones was stopped at a traffic light north bound on US HWY 45N in the right lane.  Ada L. Richardson, 72, of Mayfield, KY was operating a Maroon 2015 Ford Fusion.  Richardson was stopped at the traffic light in the left hand turn lane from US HWY 45N to KY408.  James H. Luker, 78, of Fulton. KY was operating a White 2010 Ford F150 traveling north bound on US 45N approaching the traffic that was stopped at the traffic light.  For an unknown reason Luker failed to stop at the light and rear ended the three vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.

Duvall was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Richardson was transport to Jackson Purchase Medical Center then on to Baptist Health Paducah with non-life threatening injuries.  Jones and Luker did not sustain any injuries in the collision.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Logan Burkes.
