Northbound Lane & Ramp Restriction at I-69/KY 56 Sebree Exit 134 Interchange starting Thursday, July 28

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans northbound lane and ramp width restrictions at the Interstate 69/KY 56 Sebree Exit 134 Interchange in WEBSTER County starting Thursday, July 28, 2016.

The contractor is altering the slope along the I-69 northbound exit ramp to KY 56 to correct persistent landslides along the embankment between the northbound ramp and northbound lanes of I-69.  This corrective work will require northbound traffic to be restricted to one lane and the northbound exit ramp to KY 56 will be shifted to facilitate the work.  This northbound lane restriction and ramp traffic shift will likely be in place for about a month, weather permitting.

Weather conditions have delayed blasting that was planned to loosen rock along this work area.  The contractor now plans to occasionally halt traffic on both I-69 and KY 56 for about 10 to 15 minutes at a time to allow blasting at the site starting sometime in the next week, weather permitting.   The contractor will attempt to provide more details of the blasting schedule as it approaches with weather being the main determining factor.

Dumey Contracting, Inc, is the prime contractor on this $11 million interchange reconstruction project.
