A Crittenden County man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday morning.
Kentucky State Police reports 60 year old Robert Topp of Marion was operating a motorcycle westbound on KY 132 around 8:20 Wednesday morning when he lost control of the bike about 13 miles east of Marion near the Crittenden and Webster County line. Police say the motorcycle slid across both lanes of travel, ran off the left side of the road and traveled down an earth embankment, ejecting Topp.
Topp, who authorities say was not wearing a helmet, was flown from the scene of the accident to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville where he died from his injuries.
KSP was assisted at the scene by the Clay Volunteer Fire Department, Crittenden County EMS and PHI Air Medical.
