Kentucky State Police are investigating a single vehicle accident on KY 136 West near the McLean County Line that injured a mother and her four children.
According to police, when the trooper arrived on scene he found 39 year old Bridget Swan, of Hartford, was operating her 2005 Toyota Sequoia eastbound on KY 136 toward the community of Hartford when she told the trooper she was ran off the road by an older model dark blue ford truck. Swan was reportedly able to dodge making contact with the truck but in the process lost control of her vehicle and struck an earth embankment, which caused her vehicle to role over once.
KSP says Swan and her four children, ranging from ages 18 to 6 years old, were all transported to the Ohio County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police indicate the Ford truck left the scene of the crash and continued on toward the community of Livermore in McLean County.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio County EMS.
The collision is still under investigation by KSP. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact Post 16 Henderson at 270-826-3312. The truck is described as a 1995 to 2000 dark blue Ford Dually.
