Man Sought for Alleged Assault and Unlawful Imprisonment

Authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted for an alleged assault and unlawful imprisonment.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies and emergency personnel responded to a home in the 11-thousand block of Fields Road south of Utica around 9:45 a.m. Saturday in reference to to the alleged assault that occurred at a nearby residence. Deputies say the female victim had a large bruise to the left side of her face/left eye area and had a laceration to the back of her head.

According to authorities, the victim told deputies 47 year old David G. Jones, of Utica, had assaulted her and held her against her will at gunpoint. She reportedly was able to get away and ran to a neighbor’s house to get help.

DCSO indicates the female victim was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Owensboro Health Regional a Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Deputies went to the home where the reported assault had occurred, but indicate they were not able to locate Jones. After obtaining a search warrant for the home, deputies reportedly seized numerous items as evidence.
