The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane along a section of KY 56 in Daviess County on Friday morning, November 20, 2015.
KY 56 will be restricted to one lane at mile point 7.2 in eastern Daviess County to allow an inspection of the Panther Creek Bridge. This is along KY 56 between Crooked Creek Road and KY 456.
All Kentucky bridges get a detailed inspection every two years, with long-span bridges over lakes and rivers getting an extra annual walk-through inspection.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers between about 9:00 a.m., CST, and Noon on Friday. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
