A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place a lane and load width restrction on a section of KY 1245 in OHIO County starting Friday, November 18, 2016.
KY 1245 will be restricted to one lane with a maximum 12 ft. load width at Ohio County mile point 1.2 to allow joint work on the P&L Railroad Overpass in the Echols community. This is along KY 1245 between Watkins Lane and Snodgrass Lane about a mile south of US 62.
Motorists can expect to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by an automated signal. Approriate caution is required where construction personnel will be working along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The contractor plans to be on site completing joint work through about December 15th. The contractor will then return in the spring to complete painting of the overpass.
This is part of a group bridge maintenance and painting project that includes work at several locations in Ohio and Muhlenberg counties.
