KSP NEWS RELEASE
(Cadiz, KY) – The Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle injury collision on October 28, 2015 at approximately 11:27 A.M. The two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of KY 139 and Ryan Road.
Preliminary investigation shows Leslie LaFlam, 61 of Pembroke, KY, operating a 2004 Saturn Ion. LaFlam was traveling south on KY 139 and was stopped on the roadway waiting for oncoming traffic to clear, before making the turn onto Ryan Road. Alyssa Duff, 18 of Cadiz, KY was operating a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling south on KY 139. Duff crested a hill on KY 139 and was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. Duff’s vehicle hit the rear of LaFlam’s vehicle.
Duff was transported by Trigg County EMS for non-life threatening injuries, to the Trigg County Hospital. Nancy LaFlam, 63 of Pembroke, KY was a passenger in the LaFlam vehicle. Nancy complained of neck pain but refused transport by EMS. Both drivers and passenger were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Trigg County EMS. Trooper First Class Lewie Dodd is continuing his investigation into the collision.
