2 Henderson residents charged with trafficking drugs

A search warrant at a motel in downtown Henderson netted the arrest of two Henderson residents for drug trafficking.

After a two month investigation into trafficking heroin, Henderson Police detectives executed a search warrant around 9:00 Tuesday morning at the Downtown Motel on N. Green Street in Henderson and arrested 49 year old Donald Clark and 24 year old Taylor Laxton. During the search, officers reportedly found heroin, crystal methamphetamine, prescription controlled substances and items consistent with trafficking.

According to police, detectives had made multiple controlled buys of heroin from the couple since August.

Clark and Laxton were lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (> or = 2 GMS Heroin), Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (> or = 2 GMS Methamphetamine), Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (> or = 10 D.U. Drug Unspecified) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
