Authorities say a shots fired call led to the arrest of a Hopkins County man for drug possession.
Kentucky State Police say a trooper responded to the shots fired complaint around 3:19 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on Drakes Creek Road in White Plains. Upon arrival, the trooper saw 19 year old Joshua Massey of White Plains pulling into the residence on a mini-bike. Police say Massey stated he did not have a valid operator’s license.
After suspecting Massey was under the influence, police reportedly conducted a series of field sobriety tests, which led to his arrest. Police say they found a bag of methamphetamine in Massey’s possession.
Massey was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance – meth, operating a motor vehicle under the influence under aggravating circumstances, and no operator’s license.
