KSP: 18 year old Spottsville resident injured in 2-vehicle wreck

An 18 year old Spottsville resident was injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Henderson County Monday night.

Kentucky State Police report the wreck occurred around 6:20 Monday night at the intersection of Highway 60 East and Rucker Road #2 when 28 year old Keri Gardner of Reed was driving a car northbound on Rucker Road #2 and failed to stop at the stop sign causing her to slide into the intersection and crash into a vehicle driven by 20 year old Allyson Vanover of Henderson, who was driving eastbound on Highway 60 East. KSP says the impact caused the car Vanover was driving to hit an earth embankment and overturn.

A passenger in Vanover’s vehicle, 18 year old Mytch Denham of Spottsville, was transported by ambulance to Henderson Methodist Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to KSP.

KSP was assisted at the scene by Henderson County Ambulance Service, Henderson City/County Rescue, and the Baskett and Spottsville Fire Departments.
