KMA District 14 donates funds to Union County and Henderson County Backpack Programs

The Union County and Henderson County Backpack Programs recently received donations totaling nearly 3-thousand dollars from the Kentucky Motorcycle Association District 14.

KMA District 14 Treasurer David Holt tells WMSK News the donations were from money raised during the 3rd Annual Corn Festival Poker Run & Charity Auction.

The Kentucky Motorcycle Association’s primary purpose is to Protect the Rights of Kentucky Motorcyclist by lobbying with legislators for passage of bills and laws favorable to motorcyclist, but they also work to support the community they live and ride in. District 14 holds several annual events, like Poker Runs during the Kentucky Bike Rally, to help raise money for the Happy Feet Program in Henderson, Union, Webster and Crittenden County.

This month, KMA District 14 purchased Christmas gifts for Veterans living in residential care facilities through the Adopt-A-Veteran Angel Tree program.
