It’s a big week for Union County as the 24th year of the Kentucky Bike Rally officially kicks off in Sturgis on Thursday.
Rally spokesman Doug Rodgers says the bike rally is Thursday through Sunday, but the early bird entry begins Wednesday.
He adds you must be 21 years of age to enter.
According to Rodgers, the Kentucky Bike Rally is a big economic boost for Union County.
The Kentucky Bike Rally will be held at the Union County Fairgrounds and John Arnold Arena. For more details or to purchase tickets go to www.kentuckybikerally.com
And due to the Kentucky Bike Rally, we will see an increase in traffic throughout Union County as motorcyclists from all over the country converge on Sturgis. I would like to take this time to remind motorists to be especially mindful of motorcycles that will be traveling on main roads as well as rural roads throughout the county.
