HPD: Henderson man arrested for harassment, drug possession, and other charges

A Henderson man has been charged with harassment, fleeing and evading police, and other offenses.

Henderson Police say officers responded to the Fast Fuel in the 17-hundred block of South Green Street around 1:30 a.m. Thursday regarding a disturbance where a female stated that 25 year old Kody Johns had assaulted her and caused a visible injury. Johns had left the scene in a vehicle prior to the arrival of officers, but police say he walked back a few minutes later and then ran and when he saw police and refused orders to stop. Authorities indicate Johns was caught after a foot pursuit. During a search of the vehicle, police reportedly found methamphetamine and scales.

Johns was arrested and booked into the Henderson County Jail for fourth degree Domestic Violence (Minor Injury), first degree Fleeing or Evading Police on foot, first degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

In addition, police indicate Johns was served a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court, a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear and faces other charges from a previous case.
