Henderson Sheriff’s Office arrests Morganfield man with outstanding warrants following traffic stop

A Union County man accused of fleeing from authorities following a traffic stop late Monday night was arrested after a pursuit on foot.

Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no taillights on Richardson Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Monday.  The vehicle allegedly pulled to the wrong side of the road before the driver exited and fled on foot.

The driver was later identified as Kealyn Haire, 21, of Morganfield. The deputy pursued Haire through several backyards before tasing him and taking Haire into custody.

Haire had two outstanding Henderson arrest warrants, a Union County arrest warrant, and an Indiana arrest warrant. He was also charged with fleeing/evading police on foot, possession of a first-degree controlled substance (methamphetamine), operating on a suspended driver’s license and improper equipment.

He was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
