A Henderson man wanted by police after a vehicle pursuit has been apprehended.

Henderson Police report 28 year old Jake Cummings was found and arrested at an apartment in the 23-hundred block of Greenview Way around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.

According to authorities, Cummings fled from police officers Tuesday night when they tried to conduct a traffic stop at 1st and Alvasia streets for suspicion he was driving under the influence. Officers and Henderson County Sheriff’s deputies pursued Cummings out of the city limits to the Audubon Parkway when Cummings stopped in the 19-thousand block of Lower Delaware Road and then fled on foot evading capture.

During a search of the vehicle, police reportedly found multiple hydrocodone pills and marijuana.

Following his arrest Wednesday night, Cummings was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for fleeing and evading police in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. Police indicate additional charges are pending.
