Milling & Paving along US 641 in Southern CRITTENDEN Co. starting THURSDAY, Oct 6

Motorists traveling US 641 in southern Crittenden County need to be aware a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contractor plans to start milling and paving a section of the roadway beginning Thursday.

According to spokesman Keith Todd, the project runs along US 641 from the Crittenden-Caldwell County line to the US 60 intersection in Marion.

Milling is expected to start Thursday morning and take about three (3) days to complete. Todd indicates asphalt paving will follow starting around Monday, October 10th and is expected to be completed in four (4) or five (5) days, weather permitting.

Todd says motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic and use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers and construction personnel are along the road close to traffic flow.

According to officials, approximately 5-thousand vehicles travel this section of US 641 in an average day.
Rogers Group is the prime contractor on this $819, 226 highway improvement project, which is expected to be completed in mid-October.
