Henderson County man killed in motorcycle versus deer collision

A Henderson County motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening after his bike struck a deer.

Henderson County Sheriff Chip Stauffer said that a motorcyclist hit a deer at approximately 6:55 p.m. Sunday in the 12000 block of U.S. 41-A.

The Henderson County Coroner’s Office pronounced the 54-year-old Henderson County man dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man.

The Sheriff said that the roadway was closed for approximately two and a half hours Sunday night as first responders worked the accident scene.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson County Coroner, Cairo Volunteer Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, and Kentucky State Police responded.
