A Henderson County Sheriff’s deputy has been suspended from duty after he was indicted on sexual abuse charges.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Danny Sizemore was suspended without pay on Tuesday due to an indictment by the Henderson County Grand Jury for one count of first degree sexual abuse and three counts of second degree sexual abuse.

Authorities say he will remain suspended from duty pending further action by the court.

Deputy Sizemore has been employed by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office for eleven (11) years and previously worked at the Sturgis Police Department, according to media outlets.

No other details were released by the sheriff’s office.

At this time, Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson Trooper Corey King tells WMSK News Deputy Sizemore has not been officially charged, but they are investigating this case.
