Help keep Union County children warm this winter by donating to Coat A Kid

Cold weather and Old Man Winter are right around the corner and a local organization is making sure the children of Union County are prepared by providing coats to help keep them warm during the cold and possibly snowy conditions ahead.

Organizer David Russell tells WMSK News he came up with the Coat A Kid event after a visit to Evansville a few years ago and seeing the need for it here in the county.

This is the third year the event has been held in Union County that helps provide coats for school aged children.

If you would like to donate a coat or money…

Russell adds that he and the children of the county would appreciate any donation that can be given.

Last year, Russell says they donated approximately 200 coats to the children in Union County.

If you would like to donate a slightly used coat or money to purchase a coat, the drop-off deadline is December 15th.
