GRADD Senior Day Out and Benefits Check-Up Events Scheduled Thursday

Hundreds of senior citizens in the Green River Area Development District are expected to fill Owensboro’s Towne Square Mall on Thursday for the 17th annual “Senior Day Out” event.

During the event, GRADD officials say attendees can learn about disaster preparedness, consumer fraud, identity theft, Medicare benefits, and other timely issues, while enjoying food, fun and live music.

Presenters will include Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear and Gerina Whethers, Head of Senior Protection from the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office; Benefits Counselor with the Kentucky Department of Affairs Johnny Allen; and Owensboro Fire Department Chief Steve Leonard.
