Authorities have arrested five Morganfield residents in connection with drug trafficking charges.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office said they and Kentucky State Police DESI West Task Force arrested five Morganfield residents on Oct. 4. A Union County grand jury issued five indictment warrants for the five residents on Oct. 3.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office, KSP and the Henderson County Joint Task Force have been conducting extensive investigations involving the trafficking of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as other illegal drugs in Union County.
Scodrique Black, 35, of Morganfield was arrested on two counts of trafficking in a first-degree controlled substance (more than or equal to four grams of cocaine.)
Milton Lewis, 44, of Morganfield was arrested on two counts of trafficking in a first-degree controlled substance (more than or equal to four grams of cocaine.)
Sonja Thompson, 47, of Morganfield was arrested on three counts of trafficking in a first-degree controlled substance (more than or equal to four grams of cocaine.)
Curtis McGuire, 49, of Morganfield was arrested on two counts of trafficking in a first-degree controlled substance (more than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine.)
Kellie Hughes, 53, of Morganfield was arrested on two counts of trafficking in a first-degree controlled substance (more than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine.)
This is an ongoing investigation.
All five Morganfield residents were booked at the Webster County Detention Center.
Lewis, Thompson, McGuire and Hughes are all being held on $10,000 bonds. Black was released Friday on a $10,000 bond.
