At least two fishermen were rescued Wednesday afternoon when their boat had a mechanical failure on the Ohio River.
According to Union County Emergency Management Director Vernon Martin, Uniontown Water Rescue was notified around 5:18 that two fishermen were stranded when their boat broke down between Caseyville and below the Tradewater on the Ohio River. He says Uniontown Water Rescue and the Sturgis Fire and Rescue towed the boat back to shore and everyone was off the water around 6:45.
Martin says there were no injuries reported.
