MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (June 29, 2026) – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision in Muhlenberg County that killed three people over the weekend.
The collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. 431 and Power Plant Road in Muhlenberg County on Sunday.
Whitney Duarte, 35, of Central City, was driving a Nissan Sedan southbound on US 431 when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a Ford pickup truck driven by Kevin Latham, 56, of Bremen.
The Muhlenberg County Coroner pronounced Duarte, Latham, and passenger, Joey Watkins, 67, of Central City, all dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Trooper Travis Vandrew.
