Evansville Police looking for shooting suspect

NEWS RELEASE

On Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at approximately 9:13 p.m. Central Dispatch received a call that shots were being fired and that a person was shot at 1311 Lee Court.

Officers responded, secured the scene, got medical attention for the victim, identified as 19 year- old Trayvon Carter and began their investigation.

Carter was shot several times and Frieson fled the area on foot.

Carter was transported to St Mary’s hospital where he is receiving treatment. His wounds do not appear to be life threatening.

Frieson was not located during the course of the investigation and is wanted for the following charges:

Attempted Murder
Aggravated Battery with a firearm
Criminal Recklessness with a firearm

If anyone has knowledge about this crime or know of the location of Frieson, they are asked to call the Evansville Police Department at 436-7979 or the WeTip line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
