Evansville Police are investigating the death of a child under the age of two at 546 Jeanette Benton Drive.
According to police, dispatch received a call about the unresponsive child at 7:07 a.m. Wednesday. When medical and police units responded, authorities say the child was pronounced deceased at the scene.
EPD indicates the Vanderburgh County Coroner was called to the scene to assist in the investigation. An autopsy will be conducted. The time and date will be announced by the Coroner’s Office.
Police say this investigation is in the early stages and there is no information available about the cause or manner of death.
