Police are looking for an Evansville man wanted for attempted murder in connection to a shooting Thursday afternoon near Riverside and Grand.
According to Evansville Police, the shooting occurred around 4:25 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Zesto’s where 20 year old Donovan Thomas was found in with a gunshot wound to his leg. After officers applied a tourniquet, police say Thomas identified the man who shot him as 21 year old Michael Merriweather. However, police indicate Thomas did not provide them with a possible motive.
Merriweather remains at large and is wanted for attempted murder and criminal recklessness. Authorities say he is considered armed and dangerous.
