A Boil Order has been issued for KY 130 residents in Uniontown after a water leak occurred Tuesday.

Around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Uniontown Police Chief Jeffery Hart informed WMSK News that KY 130 was CLOSED due to a massive water leak. Semis and trucks coming into Uniontown were instructed to use KY 360, and all local traffic was detoured around Uniontown.

Chief Hart reports the water leak was caused by an 8 inch water line under KY 130 that had ruptured and was threatening to wash out the road. After a few hours, city crews had the line repaired and KY 130 was reopened.

According to Chief Hart, a Boil Order for KY 130 residents was issued after the repairs were completed. He says the Boil Order is in effect until further notice.
