Union County Volunteer Fire Chief Ricky Millikan says in a news release the Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 19th beginning at 4:30 with line up at 4:00 at the Uniontown City Park.
In addition, he indicates the wives and families of the volunteer firefighters are busy preparing for the annual Children’s Christmas Event. Chief Millikan says they plan on having indoor Ice Skating for the children of Union County Saturday, December 12th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., as well as hot chocolate, coffee, cupcakes and cookies.
On Saturday, December 19th prior to the Uniontown Christmas Parade, Santa will arrive at the Turner Building on a Fire Truck at Noon and meet with the children until 2:00 p.m.
In the release Chief Millikan thanks everyone for your past support of this time honored tradition that means so much to the volunteers and the children of Union County, and he hopes you will be able to support them again this year as they carry on the tradition. He says the event could not be possible without the continued support of local merchants, farmers and friends. Any donations made via check should be made out to the Union County Volunteer Fire Department Children’s Program.
