2 Tennessee residents injured in semi vs vehicle wreck on I-24 in Livingston County

Two Tennessee residents were injured Sunday afternoon when a semi crashed into the rear of a vehicle on I24 in Livingston County.

Kentucky State Police reports 59 year old Michelene Collard, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, was driving east on I-24 when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the left lane, struck the bridge and then reentered the roadway. Authorities report 36 year old Steven Turner, of Murfreesboro, TN, was also traveling east when he collided with the rear of Collard’s vehicle.

Collard was transported to Lourdes Hospital for injuries. Turner was treated and released on scene. I-

KSP indicates I24 East was closed for approximately two hours from Exit 31 to Exit 40, and traffic was detoured to an alternate route.

The investigation continues by Kentucky State Police Trooper Derral Redwine. Trooper Redwine was assised on scene by Sergeant Williams and Trooper Acree. KSP was assisted by Grand Rivers Fire Department and Livingston County EMS.
