UPDATED: 2 Sturgis men charged for possessing meth

UPDATE:

WMSK News now has a few more details regarding the arrest of two Sturgis men charged with possessing meth that I reported yesterday.

Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Dame reports 31 year old Joseph Parrish and 47 year old Christopher Vaughn were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at a home on North Pike Street in Sturgis Friday night around 11:00 with the assistance of the Sturgis and Morganfield Police Departments. During the search, Deputy Dame indicates methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and firearms were located.

Deputy Dame reports a third person, 32 year old Kale Garnett was in the home and released by authorities with a citation for Possession of Marijuana.

As reported by WMSK News Monday, Parrish and Vaughn were lodged in the Union County Detention Center charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine). In addition, Vaughn was charged with Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Two Sturgis men were arrested over the weekend on possession of meth charges.

31 year old Joseph Parrish and 47 year old Christopher Vaughn, both of Sturgis, were arrested Saturday morning by Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Dame and lodged in the local jail for Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), according to the Union County Detention Center website.

In addition, the jail’s website shows Vaughn was charged with Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

No details regarding the arrest and charges have been released by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
